The Kaiser Family Foundation website (a great source for variety of health and policy issues) has the most recent word on the status of federal mental health parity legislation. Several months ago the Senate and the House passed separate, somewhat varying, versions of the bill The conference committee has recently been meeting to try to hammer the differences between the two chambers and apparently there is a bit of rough sledding. As with all legislative matters, no one knows what will happen and time will tell.
