Congress Investigates Long Term Care Insurers

Awhile ago I posted about problems some consumers experienced with payment of long term care policies. The New York Times today reports on an investigation the House Committee on Energy and Commerce has opened about how Conseco and Penn Treaty American Corporation are marketing and processing claims that come in under those policies. Both Conseco and Penn Treaty American issued statements saying they will work with the committee to provide information and assist in the investigation.
